Catherine Zeta-Jones: Back to Work in the Big Easy

Getting down to business on her new film “Playing the Field,” Catherine Zeta-Jones was spotted hard at work in Shreveport, Louisiana today (April 20).

The “Entrapment” actress looked to be in good spirits as she filmed scenes, especially given her recent skirmish with bipolar II disorder.

“Playing the Field” is about a former professional athlete with a weak past who tries to redeem himself by coaching his son’s soccer team, only to find himself unable to resist when in scoring position with his players’ restless and gorgeous moms.

And it sounds like Catherine has quite the cast surrounding her - Gerard Butler, Dennis Quaid, Jessica Biel, and Uma Thurman all star as well.

On a sidenote, the sighting comes amidst reports telling that Zeta-Jones is in final negotiations to join the cast of Adam Shankman’s musical "Rock of Ages".

Of the news, director Shankman said, “It’s like the musical gods just blessed us!”
